Project Overview
Cygwin is a UNIX environment for Windows. It consists of two
parts:
A DLL (cygwin1.dll) which acts as a UNIX emulation layer
providing substantial UNIX API functionality.
A collection of tools, ported from UNIX, which provide
UNIX/Linux look and feel.
The Cygwin environment works under all modern versions of
Windows except Windows CE and, for some users, Windows
XP.
Cygwin/X is a port of the X Window System to the Microsoft Windows family
of operating systems. Cygwin/Xruns on all recent consumer
versions of Windows and all recent business versions of Windows; as of
2003-12-27, those versions are specifically Windows 95, Windows 98,
Windows Me, Windows Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003.
Cygwin/X consists of an X Server, Xlib, and nearly all of the
standard X clients, such as xterm, xhost, xdpyinfo, xclock, and xeyes.
Cygwin/X, as the name implies, uses the Cygwin project which provides a UNIX-like
API to Xlib and X clients, thereby minimizing the amount of porting
required.

Uploaded all my latest packages and updated this page !
The new download page is really here: http://lassauge.free.fr/cygwin/release/
BTW you shouldn't need the Cygnome packages anymore as I switched to GLIB2/GTK2
for all my packages (and these are provided by the setup now).

Finaly I had the time to play again with Cygwin, lots of new tools are available and I spent some time
to port old software and even new one to the latest Cygwin binaries.
Bigest news is that all my latest ported softwares are available through the "standard" setup.exe
installation method:
Just use the following URL after running setup.exe and you'll have all my ported softwares:
http://lassauge.free.fr/cygwin
If you just want to download the tarballs and see the readmes they are here:
http://lassauge.free.fr/cygwin/release
Infos: Now a lot of the GNOME project is ported to Cygwin and some of my
ported software need the libraries and tools from Cygnome. Just look there you'll have all the needed binaries.
Note that all the old binaries are still available in the archive page but most of them are allready ported
